Different generations of Toyota Vios

The first generation of the Toyota Vios had a wedge-shaped body with a length, width and height of 4285*1690*1435 and a wheelbase of 2500mm and was available with a 4 cylinder petrol engine of 1.3 or 1.5 litres. The strength of the first generation Toyota Vios lies in the driving experience it offers to the driver. To ensure that the driver has a wider field of vision, the first generation Vios had an innovative instrument cluster placed at the top edge of the centre console, allowing the driver to read the required driving information out of the corner of the eye, and preventing the instrument cluster from blocking the view ahead.

The second generation Vios has a more rounded appearance than the first generation Vios and has increased its dimensions, making it more spacious and comfortable to drive inside, with three different types of 4-cylinder petrol engines: 1.3, 1.5 and 1.6. Otherwise, the second generation of Vios was largely unchanged.

The third generation of the Vios is a major innovation over the previous two generations, with a more spacious body than the previous two. In addition, the dashboard has been moved back to the front of the driver. In terms of storage space, there are up to 10 stowage spaces and the rear compartment capacity has been increased to 476 litres. In terms of power, the Vios III is equipped with the latest technology, increasing the maximum horsepower from 106 to 109, and features such safety features as dual front airbags, ABS anti-lock braking system, EBD electronic brake force distribution and BAS braking assistance.

Until now, Toyota Vios has launched its fourth generation of models, including the Toyota Vios GRS Malaysia. If you are interested to it, you may contact them for more information.
