People who commit themselves to the health industry and have knowledge or skills obtained via education in the health sector at a level lower than the third diploma are considered medical assistants. A competency test is something that must be taken by every medical assistant after they have completed their study. Therefore, it is not necessary for Assistant Health Professionals to register and take care of permits in the same manner as is required of health workers.
